About The Author
Bert Casey has been a professional performer and teacher in the Atlanta area for over 25 years. Bert plays several instruments (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, and flute) and has written 5 other books (Acoustic Guitar Primer, Bass Guitar Primer, Mandolin Primer, Bluegrass Fakebook, and Flatpicking Guitar Songs). He has made our videos (Introduction to Acoustic Guitar, Introduction to Electric Guitar, Introduction to Bass Guitar, and Introduction to mandolin). Bert is a professional instructor at ABC Music, which he owns. He also records extensively in his studio, where he has done the sound track to several movies. Bert's playing career includes performing with Home Remedy during the 1970's & 80's and he is currently performing in the Atlanta area with his band Blue Moon.
About the Author
Jim Tolles has been playing violin and fiddle for 30 years and teaching for 25. He is an accomplished performer, having appeared with Goose Greek Symphony, Breakfast Special, touring Broadway shows, and numerous country and bluegrass bands native to his Atlanta, Georgia home. He is currently a full time teacher in Atlanta. Jim has recorded with various artists on the Capitol, Atteiram, and Rounder labels and has written songs on those labels as well as Flying Fish. Jim's playing has been featured on national radio and TV commercials. This course is a product of those 20 years of teaching and his desire to help the beginning player get off to the best possible start. Jim also wrote The Fiddle Primer Book and Introduction to Violin video.
